Meet Karin Wilson

Speaker | Consultant | Facilitator | Writer

Karin Wilson is an international speaker, consultant, facilitator, and writer, with a background informed by more than 20+ years as an award-winning journalist where she met and worked with people in far-flung communities experiencing extreme adversity, and eager to overcome conflict. Her background in sociology and anthropology led her to see societal patterns of cohesion that were seldom expressed in a world focused on division. Karin began to actively seek opportunities to create unity instead. Her work is often marked by its keen sense of diversity and inclusion, without contradiction. She’s been a recipient of numerous awards, including the City of Kelowna’s Spirit Award. As a speaker, she’s presented at several successive Canadian New Thought Conferences, as well as Center for Spiritual Living’s 2021 SOAR conference. Karin’s work as a social commentator has appeared in national and international newspapers and magazines, and on CBC Radio’s The Current. In 2008, firm in her belief that mental health and spirituality are linked, Karin went into active ministry. By 2014 she was ordained, and she founded a spiritual community in Vancouver, Canada where she taught affirmative spiritual practices including mindfulness, meditation, and visioning. Today, she continues to work with communities of all kinds helping them to overcome conflict by revealing the group’s unique common purpose.
