InSIGHT  Out Program

Reconnect your people with the values from your organization.

There’s no turning back

“Move forward” seems to be the mantra these days, in the wake of the 2020 Global Pandemic.

Yet the challenge remains that to truly move forward, we need to address what is here now. And according to data from Stats Canada, as well as research from Imagine Canada, today’s reality looks decidedly complex.

  • Double-barrel pressure of labour and volunteer shortages
  • Higher wage expectations yet drop to donations & government support
  • New hybrid workplaces, with as many as 25% of employees working off site
  • Reduced capacity to take on debt
  • Rising inflation impacting all manner of service and delivery costs

Ultimately non-profits need to innovate, continue to do more with less, all while being sensitive and responsive to overcoming systemic issues such as those experienced by BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

“While the wellbeing of employees has always been a priority for companies, it has surfaced as the most important cause within an organization,” according to the Engaging Employees Through Community report. “Therefore, the focus for companies and their leadership teams is taking care of their employees first; ensuring they are heard, valued, and supported with services around mental & physical health and safety in the workplace. It’s enough to get under the skin of not only your Board and Executive Director, but under the skin of your workers.

“Our main concern in 2022 is retention of our staff. We are a small team. If even one person leaves it could set our organization’s aims and objectives back by 12-18 months,” one employer shared with Imagine Canada’s Priorities and Challenges for Non-Profits in the First Quarter of 2022.

Such weight and pace of change remains daunting. And how can you prepare when you don’t know what’s coming next?

Here’s the good news

Over the last two decades I’ve gained unique insight into the non-profit world.

I’ve worked in the fields of education, HIV research and community care, as well as services for marginalized women. As a former news journalist for CBC, I’ve been privy to conversations with our indigenous peoples, politicians, and community activists. And I know what it means to be a leader, having founded my own non-profit spiritual centre.

You’re passionate about what you do, and so am I.

It All Adds Up to One Thing Missing – InSIGHT

The Pandemic cast a bright light on all the things we didn’t want to see. Today, it’s more important than ever that leaders remain confident they have the insight necessary to take the organization into this brave new world with employees who feel connected to each other and engaged with the mission at hand.

Engaged employees create your future

Engaged employees don’t simply work hard, they do so with enthusiasm, and that enthusiasm is contagious. Your clients recognize this quality. There’s a palpable “soul” expressed. Like the restaurant where everyone knows your name, your clients, your donors, your employees want a seat at the table.

How the InSIGHT Out Program works

Your employees already know the values your organization believe in. They arrived on your doorstep because they felt they were a match.

The InSIGHT Out Program reconnects your people with those values and gives them the tools to apply those values to any new program. It is by its very nature responsive to the times, without any technology required because its people-based, relying on their individual experience and insight into how you operate today, and what you want for your future.

Get More Insight into Your Organization – and Leverage that Insight

The InSIGHT Out Program sets you up for success and gives you the ability to evolve with the ever-changing demands and expectations we face today.

This program organizes several existing employees into a cohesive, yet diverse group, that bring their insights into the room in a transparent fashion.
